Calvin Klein is the epitome of what it means to be a modernist. Which is now more evident with the addition of Raf Simons. Quality materials, unique construction, and a purist for tailoring. Calvin taught me how that the simplest of details were the most important. Everything was important. “Everything needed to be Calvin” was the phrase commonly used. I worked my way up from Designer to Senior Designer at Calvin Klein Jeans. Calvin took the niche of denim and made it cool, casual and marketed it in a modern way all starting in the early 1990’s. Like everything Calvin, it instantly turned cool.
